Tim Du Plessis is a South African legend in the news industry with many years of experience. He’s edited the likes of the Rapport, Beeld and The Citizen and even headed up all Media 24’s Afrikaans newspapers before retiring from that position in 2014. Not one to rest on his laurels, the Krugersdorp native currently oversees news and actuality content for KykNet. As someone who has been on the frontlines during moments like when PW Botha swung the sceptre, the NP divorce and foundation of the KP, what is his take on the current news stories? Gareth gets to hear his opinion on these, as well as diving into his fascinating life and times.

GJB Coetzer
