Terms & Conditions

 

The Competition is conducted by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (Pty) Ltd (“FCA”).

How to enter
Visit http://www.unleashrenegade.co.za to enter the Competition. Applicants are required to complete the required fields on the Jeep Renegade registration form.
Entries for the Competition open at 11:30 on 13 April 2015 and close at 00:00 on 14 May 2015.
Entries may only be submitted online. Only one (1) entry per Applicant is permitted online.
In addition to the provisions of Clause 1.3 above, two (2) bonus entries will be awarded to each Applicant who shares their vote on the site via Facebook or Twitter.
Entry into the Competition is free.

Who can enter and conditions of entry
Applicants must be 18 years or older, be a citizen of the Republic of South Africa and be in possession of a valid driver’s licence.
Employees, officers, directors, dealers and agents of FCA and affiliated companies, and affiliated and subsidiary companies, representatives, legal advisors, any other advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies (“Competition Team”) and the immediate family or members of their same households (whether related or not) of such employees are not eligible to enter the Competition.
The Competition is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
By entering the Competition, Applicants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. FCA reserves the right to modify the content of these Terms & Conditions with retrospective effect should modification be required to ensure the proper execution of the Competition.
FCA reserves the right to withdraw and/or cancel the Competition at any time.

Winners
The grand prize Winner will be randomly selected by an auditor on 14 May 2015.
The Winner will be notified by email or telephone on 15 May 2015.
There are spot prize weekly winners who will be selected every Thursday at 16:00 by an auditor in the four weeks leading up to the grand prize draw.  Validation to enter this draw will be based on correct entry of the weekly code.
FCA reserves the right to change its decision if the Winner cannot be contacted through the email address or telephone number provided or the Winner does not meet the requirements for the Prize as set in these Terms & Conditions. FCA may award the Prize to another Applicant and the original Winner will forfeit any Prize.

Prizes
The grand prize shall consist of:
the use of a Jeep Renegade 1.4 Unlimited for a period of one (1) month, the date on which the vehicle is handed over is dependent on the respective administrative requirements being met (refer to Point 4.7), as well as Winner and product availability; and
R30 000 in adventure voucher prizes.
Weekly spot prizes consist of one of the following Jeep branded collateral:
JBL Portable Speaker
Campmaster Cooler Box
Portable Cellphone Charger
R5 000 worth of Jeep branded merchandise
The date on which the Prize is handed over is dependent on the respective administrative requirements being met (refer to Point 4.7), as well as Winner and product availability.
If the Prize is unavailable for whatever reason, FCA reserves the right to substitute the Prize for a Prize of equal or greater value, subject to government regulation.
Unless expressly stated in these Terms & Conditions, all other expenses and/or costs are the sole responsibility of the Winner.
The entry and Prizes are personal and non-transferable. No cash alternative or other Prize alternatives are available except as may be required in terms of Clause 4.3.
The Winner will be required to enter into and sign an undertaking in respect of the use of the Jeep Renegade at the point of handover. The Winner will be further required to undertake a joint inspection of the Jeep Renegade at the point of return of the Jeep Renegade to FCA.
The decision of FCA is final and binding in all matters relating to the Competition.
FCA reserves the right to request the Winner to participate in publicity events in relation to the Competition. In particular, FCA may publish all Winners’ names, photographs and videos of the Winners on the Jeep South Africa fan page on Facebook, Jeep website, the Jeep Renegade Microsite, Cliff Central social media pages and website and on the Jeep South Africa Twitter feed.
By participating in the Competition, Applicants agree that no claim shall be asserted against FCA, its parent company, affiliates, directors, officers, employees or agents in respect of any and all losses or injuries (including without limitation special, indirect or consequential losses), damages, rights, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever that result from the Applicants’ acceptance of the Prize to the full extent permissible in law.

Data Usage
Use of Personal Identifiable Information:
Applicants’ Personal Identifiable Information will be collected by FCA for the purpose of conducting and promoting the Competition (including but not limited to determining and notifying the Winners). Applicants’ personal information may be disclosed to agencies employed by FCA to conduct the Competition.
Personal Identifiable Information collected in connection with the Competition will be used in accordance with these Terms & Conditions and Jeep’s Privacy Policy.
By the submission of Personal Identifiable Information in connection with an entry, Applicants consent to the use and disclosure thereof in terms of Jeep’s Privacy Policy and these Terms & Conditions. Applicants further agree that they will not submit any information containing the images or voices of any other person unless the Applicant has received prior consent from that person to such submission and their consent to use thereof in connection with the Competition.
Use of images and video footage:
Any images and video footage submitted in connection with the Competition will be displayed on http://www.unleashrenegade.co.za
By entering the Competition, Applicants agree that images and video footage may be broadcast via digital feeds or printed for physical events, and further that these images can be used for marketing and promotional material and activities by FCA and affiliated companies during and beyond the Competition at its discretion and as is required.
Applicants grant to FCA, its affiliates and sub-licensees, a non-exclusive worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, copy, display publicly, distribute, modify and alter any materials, including without limitation video/text/photo material, submitted in connection with the Competition (to the extent not assigned to FCA hereunder), with the right to sublicense and assign the foregoing rights. Each Applicant hereby represents that they own all rights to materials, including without limitation video/text/photo material, submitted in connection with the Competition.
FCA does not condone submissions that are untrue; that contain copyrighted content; condone or promote illegal activity; are derogatory to members of a particular race, nationality, sex, sexual orientation or religion or incite hatred of particular groups; are abusive, bullying or name calling of other people; are cruel to animals; that contain excessive use of vulgar language; that in any way expose information of a private nature; are spam; are pretending to be someone famous; compromise children’s safety; depict cigarettes, alcohol, drugs or nudity in the presence of children; display images of full nudity; are sexually explicit; depict violence, sadism or cruelty; include weapons or imitation weapons; condone illegal drug usage; represent any corporation negatively; include any personal or commercial solicitation or advertising; include broadcast material from TV or Radio; are political in any way; or contain sensitive information about someone’s mental or physical health. Any submissions which contain the aforementioned content will be marked as inappropriate, deleted and may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
Submissions must not contain: i/ defamatory statements, ii/ threats to any person, place, business, or group, iii/ any dangerous behaviour, iv/ any unacceptable clothing or adornments, v/ any commercial/corporate advertising, or vi/ any indecent behaviour, profanities or obscenities.
Submissions must not: i/ disparage persons or organisations associated with FCA, ii/ invade privacy or other rights of any person, entity, or iii/ in any other way violate applicable laws and regulations. FCA reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any entry that, in its sole opinion, refers, depicts or in any way reflects negatively upon FCA, the application or any other person or entity, or does not comply with these requirements or these Terms & Conditions.
FCA reserves the right to remove any inappropriate content at any time at the sole discretion of FCA.
Any attempt by an Applicant to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of this application is a violation of laws, and should such an attempt be made, FCA reserves the right to seek damages from any such Applicant to the fullest extent permitted by law.
FCA is not responsible for any technical malfunction of any computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software failure of any email or entry to be received on account of technical problems of traffic congestion on the Internet, telephone lines or at any website, or combination thereof, including any injury or damage to Applicants’ or any other person’s computer or mobile telephone related to or resulting from participation in relation to the promotion. By entering the Competition, Applicants agree that no claim relating to any such loss or injury (including without limitation special, indirect or consequential losses) shall be asserted against FCA.

Participation in this Competition assumes the acceptance of the Facebook Terms & Conditions, found at http://www.facebook.com/terms.php
The participant is providing information to the promoter and not to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated with Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.

Applicant Consent
By submitting this application, each Applicant hereby consents to the recording, use and reuse by FCA and the Competition Team and any of their respective licensees, assigns, parents, subsidiaries, divisions, business units, or affiliated entities and each of their respective employees, agents, officers and directors (collectively “Releasees”) of the Applicant’s voice, actions, likeness, name, appearance and biographical material (collectively “Likeness”) in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, worldwide, in perpetuity, in or in connection with the Competition. The Applicant agrees that the Releasees may use all or any part of the Applicant’s Likeness, and may alter or modify it, regardless of whether or not it is recognisable. The Applicant further agrees that the Releasees may use the Applicant’s Likeness, and the Applicant hereby assigns and agrees to assign to FCA the content developed and generated as a result of the entry in the Competition (including any Review written by the Applicant). Without prejudice to the foregoing, the Releasees may use the content developed and generated by the Programme Competition (including any Review) in connection with any promotion, publicity, marketing or advertisement arising out of or in connection with the Programme Competition in any manner whatsoever. The Applicant releases the Releasees from any and all liability arising out of its use of the Applicant’s Likeness, the video/text/photo and/or the Review. The Applicant hereby acknowledges and affirms that all actions and statements made by the Applicant are the Applicant’s own, made of the Applicant’s own freewill, and are truthful to the best of the Applicant’s knowledge. The Applicant agrees not to make any claim against the Releasees as a result of the use of the Applicant’s Likeness, video/text/photo and/or the Review (including, without limitation, any claim that such use invades any right or privacy and/or publicity).
